Aransas Pass, TX — August 31, 2023, James Claude Boothe was injured due to an alleged drunk driver accident at around 10:38 p.m. on Highland Avenue.

Information released by officials says that authorities were called to the West Highland Avenue and South Rife Street intersection following the single-vehicle collision.

According to authorities, 73-year-old James Claude Boothe was a passenger in a Ford F-150 being driven northwest on Highland Avenue .At the Rife Street intersection, details claim that the pickup went off the corner of the crossing and crashed into a power pole.

As a result of this collision, Boothe reportedly had incapacitating injuries. The driver's condition wasn't specified. Authorities at this time allege that alcohol was a factor in the crash and recommended charges. Additional details about the incident remain unclear pending investigations.
