David Lopez Killed, Teen Injured in Car Accident in Dallas, TX

Dallas, TX — September 9, 2023, David Lopez was killed and a teen was injured due to a car accident at around 10:35 p.m. along East Levee Street.

Authorities said in their statements that the incident happened in the area of the Levee Street and Oak Lawn Avenue.

According to officials, 28-year-old David Lopez and a 19-year-old were in a Dodge Charger said to be going southwest along Oak Lawn Avenue. The vehicle apparently crossed over Levee Street where it then reportedly went off the side of the road. It continued until it crashed into a building.

Due to the collision, Lopez sustained fatal injuries. The teenager had injuries described as incapacitating. Currently, additional details about the cause of the accident can't be confirmed without further investigations.
