Kevin Andrew Hernandez, 1 Injured in Car Accident in Ector County, TX

Ector County, TX — August 26, 2023, Kevin Andrew Hernandez and another were injured following a multi-vehicle car accident at 1:27 p.m. along F.M. 2020.

Authorities said in their initial statements that the incident took place in the area of the F.M. 2020 (University Boulevard) and North Redondo Avenue intersection.

According to officials, 26-year-old Kevin Andrew Hernandez was in a Buick Envision reportedly going eastbound along University. At the Redondo light, authorijties say that a southbound vehicle ran the light while allegedly evading law enforcement. This resulted in the vehicles colliding.

As a result of the collision, Hernandez sustained incapacitating injuries, officials said. The other driver had apparently non-incapacitating injuries. That driver may be facing a pending charge for intoxication assault. Additional details are unavailable at this time.
