Plymouth County, IA — October 7, 2023, an 11-year-old was killed in a dirt bike-truck crash in the 22000 block of County Road 38 in Plymouth County, IA.

Authorities indicate that on October 7, a fatal crash occurred when an 11-year-old riding a dirt bike collided with a semi-truck in Plymouth County for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened sometime in the morning.

Investigators say the dirt bike rider drove onto County Road 38 from private property and collided with a semi-truck heading eastbound on the same road. Police have not released the cause of the accident, and few details are available at this time.

Officials confirmed that the 11-year-old dirt bike rider suffered fatal injuries in the crash. No other injuries were reported.
