Carl Thomas Harendt Injured in 18-wheeler Accident in Paris, TX

Paris, TX — August 9, 2023, Carl Thomas Harendt was injured following an 18-wheeler accident that happened before noon on North Main Street.

Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident happened on U.S. 271/North Main near County Road 4200.

According to officials, 59-year-old Carl Harendt was on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle said to be traveling northbound on the highway. Ahead, an 18-wheeler also going northbound wqas reportedly making a turn off the highway onto a private driveway. As it did so, the motorcycle somehow collided into the trailer.

Harendt sustained incapacitating injuries as a result of the crash, details suggest. There did not appear to be any other confirmed injuries. Right now, specific factors surrounding the crash are under investigation.
