Houston, TX — October 3, 2023, a woman was killed in a fiery car accident involving fireworks at around 10:30 p.m. on South Gessner Road.

Statements at this time say that a Chevy Camaro was going along the roadway when it somehow lost control. As a result, it ended up running off-road where it crashed into a tree. The car then caught fire, and this apparently led to fireworks in the trunk of the vehicle going off, as well.

While the driver of the car was able to get out in time, they and others who attempted to rescue the female passenger could not do so. The woman died as a result of the crash. Right now, there is no official cause of the crash given by authorities.
