Teen Killed in Vehicle Accident on Hartford Road in Lubbock, TX

Lubbock, TX — October 1, 2023, a teen boy was killed in a truck crash on Hartford Road, south of Jamaica Road in Lubbock, TX.

Authorities indicate that on October 1, a fatal accident occurred when a truck crashed in Lubbock for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened around 3:37 in the afternoon.

Investigators say the truck was heading northbound along Hartford Road when it suddenly veered into a roadside ditch. Police stated that the vehicle attempted to correct to the right, causing it to overturn. The cause of the crash has not been released at this time.

Officials confirmed that the truck driver, a 15-year-old male, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. No other injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
