Denton County, TX — September 18, 2023, Tanner Wade Alred was injured as the result of a semi-truck accident at around 6:02 a.m. along U.S. Highway 380.

According to initial details about the accident, the crash took place in the area of U.S. Highway 380 and Ripy Road.

Investigators said that 26-year-old Tanner Wade Alred was in a Dodge Journey going westbound along the highway. At the Ripy Road intersection, a truck pulling a trailer was southbound at the stop sign. That truck alleged failed to yield, pulling into the path of Alred's vehicle. The two vehicles collided as a result.

In their statements, authorities said that Alred sustained incapacitating injuries due to the crash. There were no other injuries reported. Authorities did not report additional possible factors contributing to the crash, and there appeared to be a recommendation for the truck driver to be cited. No further information is available at this time.
