Darrell Lionel Bledsoe, 1 Injured in Alleged Drunk Driver Accident in Houston, TX

Houston, TX — September 21, 2023, Darrell Bledsoe and one other were injured due to an alleged drunk driver accident at 8:35 p.m. on Chartres Street.

Authorities said in their preliminary statements that the crash took place at the intersection of Chartres Street and St. Joseph Parkway.

According to investigators, 44-year-old Darrell Bledsoe and a 54-year-old woman were on a Harley Davidson going northeast along Chartres. They were stopped at the St. Joseph Parkway traffic signal at the time when, according to officials, a Cadillac CTS crashed into them from behind.

Due to the crash, the woman riding with Bledsoe had apparently incapacitating injuries. Bledsoe's injuries were not specified. It appears there were no other confirmed injuries. Authorities said the driver of the Cadillac was under the influence of alcohol at the time, listing a .161 BAC test result.
