Javier Graves Killed in Truck Accident in Austin, TX

Austin, TX — September 27, 2023, Javier Graves was fatally injured due to a construction truck accident at around 1:05 a.m. on South MoPac Expressway.

Authorities said in their statements that the crash happened along the 2900 block of MoPac, which appears to be between U.S. 290 and William Cannon Drive.

According to current information from officials, 26-year-old Javier Graves was in a car traveling along the expressway. While doing so, for reasons not currently clear, the vehicle collided with a construction truck. Reports were not clear on if the incident occurred in a construction zone.

Due to the collision, Graves was taken to an area hospital. He ultimately succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the truck reportedly had non-life-threatening injuries. Right now, additional details about the crash are unavailable.
