Smith County, TX — October 1, 2023, Danica L. Maclin was killed in a tractor-trailer crash on Highway 155 South near FM 2661 in Smith County, TX.

Authorities indicate that on October 1, a fatal crash occurred when a vehicle and a tractor-trailer collided in Smith County for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened at approximately 9:05 at night.

Investigators say a Mitsubishi was traveling southbound along Highway 155 when it suddenly entered the southbound lanes and crashed into a Freightliner. Police say the impact caused the driver to be thrown from the vehicle. Authorities have not released the cause of the crash at this time.

Officials confirmed that the Mitsubishi driver, Danica L. Maclin, 36, suffered fatal injuries. The truck driver escaped the crash with no injuries. No additional details are currently available.
