Juan Francisco Lara Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Highway 183 in Irving, TX

UPDATE (October 5, 2023): Officials identified the man killed in the accident as 20-year-old Juan Francisco Lara.

Irving, TX — September 30, 2023, a man was fatally injured due to a pedestrian accident at around 4:00 a.m. along Highway 183.

Investigators said in their statements that the incident happened along eastbound lanes of the highway near the Loop 12 interchange.

According to officials, an unidentified man was outside of a vehicle stopped along the side of the highway due to a flat tire. While the man was changing the tire, it appears another vehicle somehow hit him. Due to this collision, the man succumbed to fatal injuries.

Details say that two other people were injured in the collision, but it's not exactly clear which vehicle the victims were in. No charges or citations have been reported at this time.
