One Killed, One Injured in Semi-Truck Accident in Freedom, WI

Freedom, WI — September 28, 2023, a person was killed, and one was injured in a semi-truck crash at County Highway EE and County Highway S in Outagamie County, Freedom, WI.

Authorities indicate that on September 28, a fatal accident occurred when a vehicle and a semi-truck collided in Freedom for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened shortly after 5:30 in the morning.

Investigators say an eastbound semi struck a northbound vehicle while the vehicle tried to merge onto County Highway S from County Highway EE. Sources say the crash forced the truck and the car into a pickup truck. The cause has not been released at this time.

Officials confirmed that the vehicle driver suffered fatal injuries. The pickup driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital. No other injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
