Jose Miguel Huichapa Injured in Car Accident in Schleicher County, TX

Schleicher County, TX — September 3, 2023, Jose Miguel Huichapa was injured as the result of a single-vehicle accident at around 1:20 a.m. along U.S. 277.

Authorities said in preliminary statements on the crash that it happened near U.S. Highway 277 mile marker 434.

According to officials, 28-year-old Jose Miguel Huichapa was in a Chevy Silverado traveling northbound along the highway. While rounding a curve, the pickup ran off the left side of the road, went through the ditch, and hopped a culvert. At some point during this process, the vehicle overturned.

As a result of the crash, Huichapa sustained incapacitating injuries. There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the accident. The exact cause can't be confirmed without further investigations.
