Kimball Clark Killed, Others Injured in Semi-Truck Accident on Route 85 near Buckeye, AZ

UPDATE (October 2, 2023): Authorities identified the driver killed in the accident as Kimball Clark. The accident remains under investigation at this time.

Maricopa County, AZ — September 28, 2023, one person was killed and others were injured following a truck accident early Thursday along State Route 85.

Investigators said that the accident happened at approximately 5:30 a.m. along State Route 85 at the intersection of Southern Avenue.

According to officials, the incident involved a car and a semi-trailer, and the collision occurred on the northbound lanes of the highway. Details in the news are limited, but the AZFamily Digital News Staff claims DPS stated the semi-truck ran a stop sign, following which the car crashed into it. A photo on their site shows the car wedged beneath the trailer. These details cannot be confirmed pending further information from authorities.

Due to the collision, one person was reportedly killed. There is no available identity at this time. Details suggest there were other injuries, as well, but further specifics also remain unclear. Investigations are ongoing at this time.
