Ruben Garfio Killed in Single-Vehicle Accident in El Paso, TX

El Paso, TX — September 17, 2023, Ruben Garfio was fatally injured due to a single-vehicle car accident before midnight along Interstate 10.

Authorities said that the incident took place at approximately 11:49 p.m. along the eastbound lanes of I-10 near Thorn Avenue.

According to officials, 24-year-old Ruben Garfio was in an Infiniti Q50S going along the interstate. Due to events not entirely clear at this time, the vehicle ended up running off the side of the roadway where it then crashed into a cement pillar.

Due to the collision, Garfio sustained fatal injuries. There were no other passengers mentioned by authorities, and a particular cause for the crash has not been given at this time.
