Eduardo Mancha Killed in Pedestrian Accident in Pharr, TX

Hidalgo County, TX — September 9, 2023, Eduardo Mancha was killed following a pedestrian versus vehicle accident at around 1:34 a.m. along Cage Boulevard.

Authorities said in their preliminary statements about the crash that it happened at the intersection of North Cage Boulevard and West Utility Drive.

According to investigators, 20-year-old Eduardo Mancha was walking at the time and reportedly walked on travel lanes of Cage Boulevard. While there, a southbound Dodge Durango did not avoid Mancha in time, striking him in the roadway.

As a result of the collision, Mancha ultimately succumbed to fatal injuries. There were no other injuries mentioned by authorities. Authorities also did not report any particular contributing factors, and there is no indication of pending charges or citations at this time. Investigations are ongoing.
