Brianna Marie Lopez Killed in Alleged Drunk Driver Accident in Fort Worth, TX

Fort Worth, TX — September 27, 2023, Brianna Marie Lopez was killed following an alleged drunk driving accident after midnight on Chisholm Trail Parkway.

DPS, Fort Worth, and Tarrant County officials released information surrounding the fatal collision, which they say took place at around 12:30 a.m. in the area of Chisholm Trail and Arborlawn Drive.

Authorities said that 22-year-old Brianna Marie Lopez was in a vehicle traveling along the northbound lanes of Chisholm Trail. While doing so, it appears that a pickup was going the wrong direction, causing it to collided head-on into Lopez's vehicle.

Due to the collision, Lopez sustained fatal injuries. The other driver reportedly had non-incapacitating injuries. That driver is accused of driving while under the influence of alcohol, and there appear to be pending charges for intoxication manslaughter. The crash remains under investigation at this time.
