Rusk Man Injured in Road Grader Accident on C.R. 2206 in Cherokee County, TX

Authorities said in the preliminary statements on the accident that a 62-year-old Rusk man was operating a Fiat-Allis C-100, which appears to be a road grader, along northbound County Road 2206. The reports claim that the brakes of the vehicle failed, and this led to the vehicle running off the side of a curve in the road. The Rusk man apparently bailed out or fell from the vehicle, following which a portion of the vehicle ran him over. The vehicle crashed into the roadside embankment.

As a result of the accident, the Rusk man had incapacitating injuries. There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the accident. No further information can be confirmed at this time.
