Filer Man Killed in Truck Accident on I-84 in Jerome County, ID

Jerome County, ID — September 23, 2023, a Filer man was killed following a semi-truck accident late Saturday along Interstate 84.

Preliminary statements from the Idaho State Police about the accident indicate that it happened at around 7:30 p.m. on westbound lanes of the interstate near mile marker 183 east of Twin Falls.

According to officials, a 22-year-old Filer man was on foot in the area of a construction zone along the interstate. It appears that a Freightliner semi-truck somehow went into the closed construction lane, continued through multiple objects, then struck the Filer man.

As a result of the collision, the Filer man succumbed to fatal injuries. There were no other reported injuries. At this time, additional details about the accident are unavailable.
