Michael Covington Killed in Vehicle Accident on Highway 70 in Choctaw County, OK

Choctaw County, OK — September 24, 2023, Michael Covington was killed in a vehicle crash on Highway 70 near Hugo, in Choctaw County, OK.

Authorities indicate that on September 24, a fatal accident occurred when a vehicle collided in Choctaw County for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened at approximately 5:06 in the morning.

Investigators say a Nissan pickup truck was traveling eastbound along Highway 70 when it suddenly left the roadway. The pickup reportedly overturned as it attempted to get back onto the highway. Authorities have not released the cause of the crash, and few details are available at this time.

Officials confirmed that the pickup driver, Michael Covington, 37, suffered fatal injuries.

No other injuries were reported.
