Woman Injured in Motorcycle-Auto Accident in Decatur, IL

Decatur, IL — September 24, 2023, a woman was injured in a motorcycle-car collision at North 26th Street and East William Street in Decatur, IL.

Authorities indicate that on September 24, an accident occurred when a motorcycle and a vehicle collided in Decatur for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened at approximately 7:30 in the evening.

Investigators say the motorcycle struck the back of a Chrysler as both vehicles were heading east. The vehicles reportedly collided at the North 26th Street and East William Street intersection.

Police say the woman riding the motorcycle suffered severe injuries in the crash. No other injuries were reported. Officials say the woman allegedly had alcohol and drugs in her system when the crash occurred, but this has not been confirmed as authorities are still investigating.
