Dallas Man Injured in Dump Truck Accident on F.M. 428 in Denton County, TX

Denton County, TX — June 19, 2023, a Dallas man sustained injuries due to a dump truck rollover accident at around 4:38 p.m. along F.M. 428.

Preliminary information provided about the incident says that it took place in the area of the F.M. 428 and Smiley Road intersection.

According to authorities, a 49-year-old Dallas man was working with a dump truck which was stopped along the roadway to drop a load of dirt. The bed was rising at the time, but the weight of the cargo caused the truck to tip over. As a result, a portion of the truck landed on the man's lower body, authorities said.

The man was taken from the scene with injuries which were described as incapacitating. There did not appear to be anyone else hurt due to the accident. Right now, additional details are unavailable.
