Investigators said that a 41-year-old man was in a Volkswagen Jetta going southbound along Helen Moore. The Jetta was in the center turn lane at the time and attempted to turn across northbound lanes. While doing so, a northbound Nissan Titan crashed into the side of the Volkswagen.

As a result of the accident, the man in the Jetta had injuries described as incapacitating. A 12-year-old child in the Nissan reportedly had non-incapacitating injuries.

Right now, details suggest that traffic on Helen Moore was backed up, and vehicles waiting in the traffic left room for the Volkswagen to turn. The Nissan driver was allegedly passing those vehicles on the shoulder when it crashed into the Volkswagen. This and other details aren't yet confirmed.
