Juventino Morales Compean Killed in Semi-Truck Accident on U.S. 54 in Stratford, TX

UPDATE (September 26, 2023): Details from authorities identify the man killed in the accident as Juventino Morales Compean. Right now, no further details about the crash can be confirmed.

Sherman County, TX — August 24, 2023, a man was fatally injured as the result of a commercial truck accident at around 9:24 p.m. along U.S. 54/Texas Street

Investigators said that the incident took place near the intersection of Texas Street and Grace Street.

According to officials, a 35-year-old man was in an International semi-truck traveling along the highway. In a series of events which cannot be confirmed at this time, the truck ended up colliding with another semi. The man's truck then ended up going off-road where it overturned and caught fire.

Authorities say rescue attempts were made, but the International semi became fully engulfed in flames. The man reportedly driving it died as a result of the accident. There did not appear to be any other injuries associated with the crash. Right now, details are still under investigation.
