One Killed, Three Injured in Tow Truck Accident in Bakersfield, CA

Bakersfield, CA — September 12, 2023, one was killed, and three were injured in a tow truck accident on Caliente Bodfish Road in Bakersfield, CA.

Authorities indicate that on September 12, a fatal accident occurred when a tow truck carrying a passenger vehicle overturned in Bakersfield. Investigators say the tow truck was traveling southbound along Caliente Bodfish Road when it suddenly lost control and rolled over. According to reports, the tow truck was carrying a Mazda with passengers, which was thrown from the flatbed during the collision.

Officials confirmed the tow truck driver, a 68-year-old man whose name has not been released, suffered fatal injuries. Three passengers reportedly sustained minor injuries and were taken to an area hospital. No other injuries were reported.
