Cary Don Griggs Killed, Carlea Griggs Injured in Car Accident in Midland County, TX

Midland County, TX — August 21, 2023, Cary Don Griggs was killed and Carlea Griggs was injured following a motorcycle accident around 2:50 a.m. along F.M. 1208.

Investigators said in preliminary public statements that the incident happened in the area of F.M. 1208 mile marker 318.

According to current information, 58-year-old Cary Griggs and 25-year-old Carlea Griggs were on a Harley Davidson going northbound along F.M. 1208. For reasons which are not clear at this time, the vehicle lost control and ended up running off-road. This led to both Cary and Carlea Griggs being thrown from the bike.

Due to the accident, Cary Griggs succumbed to fatal injuries. Carlea Griggs reportedly had incapacitating injuries following the accident. No further information surrounding the crash can be confirmed at this time.
