Man Injured in Truck Accident on I-30 at T L Townsend in Rockwall, TX

Rockwall, TX — July 17, 2023, a man sustained injuries as the result of a commercial truck accident at around 9:05 p.m. along Interstate 30.

Authorities said in their statements that the crash took place along westbound lanes of the interstate in the area of T L Townsend Drive.

According to officials, a 51-year-old man was in a Toyota Sequoia said to be going along I-30 at the time. Somehow, the vehicle crashed with an 18-wheeler that was in the lane to its right, causing both vehicle to go onto the grassy area separating main lanes from the service road. The Toyota reportedly overturned repeatedly and came to a stop on the service road.

As a result of the crash, the man in the Toyota sustained incapacitating injuries, authorities said. There were no other reported injuries. At this time, no further information about the crash is available.
