Estefania Santos Hernandez Injured in Truck Accident in Mathis, TX

Mathis, TX — August 27, 2023, Estefania Santos Hernandez was injured following a semi-truck accident at around 5:17 a.m. along Highway 359.

According to officials investigating the crash, the incident took place along the highway in the area of the East St. Mary intersection.

Preliminary details said that 22-year-old Estefania Santos Hernandez was in a Dodge Charger going along the highway. A Mack truck pulling a trailer was in the oncoming lanes. In a series of events which can't be confirmed at this time, the vehicles ended up colliding head-on.

Santos Hernandez reportedly had incapacitating injuries following the accident. No one in the truck appeared to have been hurt. Right now, no charges are confirmed, and further information is pending investigations.
