Kevin Patnode Killed in Rollover Accident in Wilbarger County, TX

Wilbarger County, TX — August 12, 2023, Kevin Patnode was killed following a rollover car accident at around 4:26 a.m. along U.S. Highway 287.

Investigators said in preliminary statements that the incident happened off the side of U.S. 287 near mile marker 280.

According to officials, 38-year-old Kevin Patnode was behind the wheel of a Ford F-250 going eastbound along the highway. For reasons which can't be confirmed, the vehicle drifted off the right side of the road where it went into a skid, then overturned repeatedly.

As a result of the crash, Patnode sustained fatal injuries. There were no others involved in the crash. Authorities mentioned fatigue as a possible factor, but an official cause of the crash is unavailable at this time.
