Terrance Dewayne Dartez Killed, Three Injured in Garbage Truck Accident in Allen Parish, LA

Allen Parish, LA — September 11, 2023, Terrance Dewayne Dartez was killed, and three were injured in a garbage truck crash on Route 165, south of Ikes Road in Allen Parish, LA.

Authorities indicate that on September 11, a fatal crash occurred when a pickup truck and a garbage truck collided in Allen Parish for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened at approximately 7:30 in the morning.

Investigators say a Ford pickup was traveling along Route 165 when it collided with a garbage truck that was stopped on the shoulder. Authorities have not released the cause of the crash, and few details are available at this time.

Officials confirmed Ford pickup passenger Terrance Dewayne Dartez, 33, suffered fatal injuries. The pickup driver and two garbage truck occupants sustained moderate injuries and were taken to area hospitals for medical attention. Additional information has not been released.

Police say the Ford driver was cited for the accident. No other injuries were reported.
