Lewis Alling Killed in Tractor-Trailer Accident in South Fayette Township, PA

South Fayette Township, PA — September 17, 2023, Lewis Alling was killed in a tractor-trailer accident at Stonegate Drive and Fieldstone Court in South Fayette Township, PA.

Authorities indicate that on September 17, a fatal accident occurred when a man was struck by a tractor-trailer at Stonegate Drive and Fieldstone Court. According to reports, the accident happened at approximately 1:00 in the afternoon in Allegheny County.

Investigators say the man was loading the back of the truck when it suddenly started to reverse. Police say the man was struck by the truck and suffered severe injuries.

Officials confirmed Lewis Alling, 59, was taken to an area hospital with severe injuries and did not survive. No other injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
