Dianne Elizabeth Jones Killed in Truck Accident in Smith County, TX

Smith County, TX — June 18, 2023, Dianne Elizabeth Jones was killed due to a semi-truck accident at around noon along Highway 155.

According to preliminary details from authorities, the incident took place at approximately 12:07 p.m. near mile marker 306.

Investigators said that 79-year-old Dianne Jones was in a Cadillac SUV going northbound along the highway. A Kenworth semi-trailer was said to be going southbound. For reasons which cannot be confirmed at this time, the vehicles ended up colliding head-on with each other.

As a result of the collision, Jones succumbed to fatal injuries. The truck driver had reportedly non-incapacitating injuries. There were no other confirmed injuries. Currently, no further information is available.
