Alton Teen Injured in Single-Vehicle Accident on West Mile 2 Rd. in Mission, TX

Mission, TX — August 25, 2023, an Alton teen and possibly two others were injured after a single-vehicle car accident at 2:50 a.m. along West 2 Mile Road.

Investigators said that the incident took place in the area of the West 2 Mile Road and Cummings Avenue intersection.

Initial details about the accident said that two 18-year-olds and a 19-year-old were in a Chevy Camaro reportedly going eastbound along West Mile 2 Road. For reasons which cannot be confirmed right now, the vehicle ended up going off the right side of the road where it crashed into a fence. It appears part of the impaled the driver of the vehicle, an 18-year-old Alton woman.

The driver of the Camaro had incapacitating injuries due to the accident. It's unclear whether or not the other two occupants had any injuries. Right now, further information about the crash is unavailable pending further investigations.
