Carrie Dannels, 7 Injured in Car Accident in San Marcos, TX

Investigators said that 61-year-old Carrie Dannels was driving a Ford Explorer along southbound lanes East Sessom. While rounding a curve, authorities say they believe a northbound Chevy Camaro somehow went across the center line and crashed head-on into Dannels's vehicle.

Due to the collision, Dannels and two people from the Camaro—the 21-year-old driver and the 19-year-old passenger— had reportedly incapacitating injuries. There were six other people in the Ford, five of which had injuries described as non-incapacitating.

Statements from authorities indicate that they were looking into the possibility that the Camaro driver had been drinking, but nothing can be confirmed at this time.
