Teen Injured in Hit-and-run Accident on East Southcross in San Antonio, TX

San Antonio, TX — September 16, 2023, a teenager was injured following an apparent hit-and-run accident around midnight along East Southcross Boulevard.

Preliminary statements about the accident say that it occurred after midnight in the area of the East Southcross Boulevard and Club View Drive.

According to officials, a 14-year-old boy was walking at the time along the sidewalk off the side of Southcross. While walking, it appears a vehicle somehow hit the teen. It's unclear if the vehicle hopped the curb or if the collision happened in a crosswalk or at a driveway. The driver then reportedly failed to stop and render aid.

The teenager was taken to a hospital with injuries described as critical. The victim's current condition is unclear at this time. It's unclear if authorities have identified the driver. No further information is available at this time.
