Several Injured in Car Accident on Highway 87 in Orange, TX

Orange, TX — September 17, 2023, several people were injured in a car collision on Southbound Highway 87 at Farm-to-Market Road 3247 in Orange, TX.

Authorities indicate that on September 17, an accident occurred when two vehicles collided in Orange for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened shortly after 4:30.

Investigators say a Nissan was rear-ended by a Chevrolet pickup truck on Highway 87 and FM 3247. Police say the Nissan was stopped at the light when the crash happened.

Officials confirmed that two Nissan occupants, including a child, suffered severe injuries in the crash. Both critically injured people were taken to area hospitals. Three other Nissan occupants were seriously hurt and went to a hospital for medical attention.

Police say the pickup occupants were not hurt in the crash. No other injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
