Cody Lane Goode Injured in Car Accident in Bastrop County, TX

Bastrop County, TX — July 31, 2023, Cody Lane Goode sustained injuries following an accident at around 9:30 p.m. along Waterson Road.

Authorities released public information about the accident, which said the crash occurred in the area of the Waterson Road and Wilhelm Way intersection.

Initial statements indicate that 27-year-old Cody Lane Goode was driving a Lexus IS along westbound lanes of the roadway. For reasons which cannot be confirmed at this time, the vehicle ended up going off the right side of the road into the ditch. The vehicle then crashed through two fence lines and overturned before catching fire.

Goode was reportedly thrown from the vehicle during the crash. He was said to have incapacitating injuries as a result of the accident. There were no other reported passengers involved. At this time, an officials cause of the accident has yet to be confirmed.
