Four Police Officers Injured in Alleged Drunk Driving Accident on Community Dr. in Dallas, TX

Dallas, TX — September 7, 2023, four police officers were injured by an alleged drunk driver around 3 a.m. on Community Dr. in Dallas.

According to authorities, the police had been called to the 3100 block of Community Drive for reports of a shooting and domestic dispute when a vehicle crashed into one of their patrol cars. One officer was reportedly inside the police car, and the other three officers were pedestrians outside of the car and were injured due to the police car purportedly moving forward into them.

All four victims were taken to a hospital.

Police say the offending driver might have been drunk at the time of the crash, however, no toxicology report has been released.

On Thursday, September 15, some sources reported that all four of the police officers had been released from the hospital, but there are no reports confirming if the officers are able to go back to work.
