One Killed, Three Injured in Truck Accident on Interstate 70 in Arapahoe County, CO

Arapahoe County, CO — September 14, 2023, one person was killed, and three others were injured in an accident in the evening hours on I-70 in Arapahoe County.

According to sources, a pickup truck with five occupants was heading east when it allegedly rear-ended a box truck which was reportedly pulled onto the shoulder of I-70 (a.k.a Heartland Expy). The impact purportedly forced the box truck fully off the road and left the pickup truck with severe damage.

Officials report one of the pickup truck passengers suffered fatal injuries and the three other passengers sustained serious injuries. There are no reports regarding the two drivers.

Authorities have not released the cause of the crash at this time.
