Hialeah Man Injured in Dual Truck Accident on I-10 in Jacksonville, FL

Jacksonville, FL — September 13, 2023, a Hialeah man was injured as the result of a two semi-truck accident at around 9:00 p.m. along Interstate 10.

According to currently available information from the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash took place at the I-10 and State Route 23 interchange on the west side of the city.

Investigators said in statements the a 57-year-old Hialeah man was in a semi-truck going along eastbound lanes of the interstate. Ahead, authorities say that another tractor-trailer had pulled over on the gore area between freeway lanes and the SR-23 ramp. That truck allegedly began to merge back onto the roadway, entering the path of the Hialeah man's truck. This resulted in the two trucks colliding.

As a result of the collision, the Hialeah man was taken from the scene with injuries believed to be serious. There were no other confirmed injuries mentioned in reports. It's also unclear if there are any pending charges. No further information is available at this time.
