Three Injured in Truck Accident on Highway 29 in Llano County, TX

Llano County, TX — August 21, 2023, three people were injured in a commercial vehicle accident around 4:20 p.m. on Highway 29 in Llano County.

According to officials, a Mazda 3 was traveling eastbound behind a Peterbilt tractor-trailer when it allegedly collided head-on with a westbound Ford F-350 and its trailer. The impact purportedly caused the Ford-350 to jack-knife, and its trailer was then struck by the eastbound Peterbilt. A bag of cattle feed then reportedly flew off the F-350's trailer and broke through the windshield of the Peterbilt's cab. The Mazda purportedly caught on fire after its initial impact and was forced off the highway in a clockwise spin.

Authorities released that the 35-year-old driver of the Mazda 3 and the 57-year-old driver of the Peterbilt suffered minor injuries and the 58-year-old driver of the Ford F-350 suffered serious injuries.

Investigators have not released the cause of the crash at this time
