Three Injured in Truck Accident on I-84 in Jerome County, ID

Jerome County, ID — September 13, 2023, three people were injured as the result of a multi-truck accident at around 2:20 p.m. on Interstate 84.

According to officials, the incident happened north of the Kimberly area along the interstate. Details at this time suggest that traffic along I-84 began to slow down. Approaching that traffic, it's alleged that a Kenworth semi carrying potatoes did not slow down in time, crashing into a BMW and a Ford transit van.

As a result of this collision, the unidentified driver of the Ford van had to be airlifted from the scene due to their injuries. The truck driver and the BMW driver were apparently taken from the scene via ground ambulance. Their injuries were not specified.

Right now, there is no mention of possible charges or citations. Investigations into the accident are ongoing.
