Gregory Plecha Killed in Semi-Truck Accident in Adams County, WI

Adams County, WI — August 31, 2023, Gregory Plecha was killed as the result of a semi-truck accident at around 7:00 p.m. along Highway 13.

Authorities said in their preliminary statements that the crash happened in the area of Big Flats at Highway 13 and County Highway C.

According to officials, 76-year-old Gregory Plecha was in a vehicle in the crossing when, authorities allege, a semi-truck failed to stop for a stop sign. The truck then crashed into two other vehicles as a result.

Due to this collision, Plecha succumbed to fatal injuries. Reports at this time do not specify which vehicle Plecha was in. At least three others were injured, including the semi-truck driver who apparently had to be flown from the scene.

Currently, there is indication that authorities are considering charges for homicide against the semi-truck driver. No further information can be confirmed at this time.
