Kasandra Roger, Kirstin Mortensen, Child Killed, Three Injured in Car Accident in Lincoln County, WY

Lincoln County, WY — May 24, 2023, Kasandra Roger, Kirstin Mortensen, and a child were killed, and three were injured in a car crash on Highway 238 in Lincoln County, WY.

Authorities indicate that on May 24, a fatal crash occurred when three vehicles collided in Lincoln County for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened at approximately 9:30 at night on Highway 238.

Investigators say a Nissan pickup was traveling southbound when it suddenly crossed into northbound traffic. Police say the Nissan pickup struck a Silverado pickup's side and collided head-on with a GMC. Authorities have not released the cause of the crash.

Officials confirmed one of the pickup truck drivers, Kasandra Roger, 28, the GMC driver, Kirstin Mortensen, and a child suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Three others reportedly sustained injuries, but the extent of their injuries is unknown.

No additional information has been released at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
