Sonya Lujan Anaya Killed in Car Accident in Midland County, TX

Midland County, TX — September 13, 2023, Sonya Lujan Anaya was killed in a car collision in the area of Highway 158 and County Road 1135 in Midland County, TX.

Authorities indicate that on September 13, a fatal crash occurred when two vehicles collided in Midland County for unknown reasons. According to reports, an Altima was stopped in an area of Highway 158 and then proceeded north across the road. Police say the Altima attempted to cross over to County Road 1135 when it collided with a GMC heading west along Highway 158.

Officials confirmed the Altima driver, Sonya Lujan Anaya, 43, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. No other injuries were reported.

Authorities have not released any additional details at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
