Teenagers Injured in Car Accident on I-30 in Royse City, TX

Royse City, TX — August 14, 2023, two teenagers were injured following a car accident at around 3:32 a.m. along Interstate 30.

According to officials who looked into the single-vehicle wreck, the crash occurred along westbound lanes of the interstate in the area of Industrial Drive.

Investigators said in their statements that two 17-year-olds (one boy and one girl) were in a Toyota Celica traveling along the interstate. For reasons which are not confirmed at this time, the vehicle veered off the right side of the road, then overturned across the service road.

Due to the accident, the teenage girl was said to have incapacitating injuries. The teenage boy reportedly had non-incapacitating injuries. It does not appear that anyone else was involved in the accident. Investigations are ongoing at this time.
