One Injured in Single-Vehicle Truck Accident on F.M. 178 in Dawson County, TX

Dawson County, TX — August 17, 2023, one person was injured in a single-vehicle truck accident around 7:26 a.m. on F.M. 178 in Dawson County.

According to investigators, the victim's Freightliner was heading south on F.M. 178 and approaching the intersection with C.R. 22 when the semi-truck reportedly veered towards its driver-side, partially left the road, and then entered into a rollover that purportedly carried the semi-truck back across the road. The truck allegedly came to rest on its driver-side with its nose pointed northeast.

The 65-year-old driver was reportedly taken to a medical center with serious injuries.

Authorities have not released the cause of the crash at this time.
