Madison Heights, MI — September 13, 2023, a pedestrian was killed in a car collision on Dequindre Road, south of 12 Mile Road, in Madison Heights, MI.

Authorities say that on September 13, a fatal accident occurred when a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Madison Heights for unknown reasons. According to reports, the accident happened shortly before 10:00 at night.

Investigators say a vehicle hit a pedestrian on Dequindre Road and left the scene. Officials confirmed the 40-year-old male pedestrian, whose name has not been released, suffered severe injuries and was taken to an area hospital. Police say the man later succumbed to his injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Authorities are investigating the incident.
