Houlayematou Savane Killed, Julien Ruesche Injured in Car Accident in Fort Bend County, TX

Fort Bend County, TX — August 29, 2023, Houlayematou Savane was killed and Julien Ruesche was injured due to a car accident at around 4:23 a.m. along F.M. 1093.

Authorities in preliminary statements said that the crash occurred in the area of Farm-to-Market 1093 and Grand Mission Boulevard.

According to officials, 22-year-old Houlayematou Savane and 39-year-old Julien Ruesche were in a Volkswagen Passat going along eastbound F.M. 1093. At a curve in the roadway, the vehicle somehow lost control and veered off-road. There, the vehicle then overturned, ejecting at least one of the occupants.

Due to the crash, Savane sustained fatal injuries. Ruesche reportedly had incapacitating injuries following the accident. There were no other passengers or vehicles mentioned by the authorities. Right now, the cause of the accident cannot be confirmed.
